Learning through play
A child’s early years are an important step towards positive education. We promote learning through play, making it both fun and stimulating.
Activities
Our activities are both indoors and out. We recognise the importance in exposing children to age-appropriate challenges and experiences.
We have guest experts visit to deliver language, science, music to children. In addition we arrange short distance trips within the community.
Friendship
Children through play will start forming friendships quickly at nursery. We encourage them to play with both their close friendship group as well as other children.
As well as children making friends, it is great to see parents making new friends. We host a number of events throughout the year and really encourage parents to get involved in these.
Early Years Development
Staff track children’s progress against the EYFS and share observations in partnership with our parent app. This allows parents to share their observations from home as well as send messages to nursery staff directly.

Your Children
All our staff know about the importance of building strong attachments with children. They are trained to recognise the different stages of attachment and use this knowledge to support children and families settling in to the nursery.
We provide a positive play environment for every child, so they may develop good social skills and an appreciation of all aspects of this country’s multi-cultural society. We plan learning experiences to ensure, as far as practical, there is equality of opportunity for all children and a celebration of diversity.
